Welcome to Homeschooling - Against the Grain!
I am a homeschooling mom of 3 and I enjoy talking with other homeschoolers about our passion...our kids.
My husband and I started homeschooling over 14 years ago. (Time flies!) It was a decision that we have never regretted.
When people ask us, "Why start homeschooling?", we tell them that we started for one or two reasons, but every year the reasons change and grow in number. We have long since reached the point at which the beginning reasons no longer matter... the proof homeschooling works for us lies in what we see in our children's lives.
We have graduated two daughters and are currently homeschooling our son through high school.
I started this blog with the vision of sharing our homeschooling insights and what has worked best for us. My hope is that our experiences will help others who are thinking about starting to homeschool, or those of you who took the leap, but now feel a little lost and confused.
